The Birth of the Tech Team: Humble Beginnings

The history of our Tech Team began in a small space on the 4th floor of the Spring Camp building. At that time, the team consisted of only three members — myself and two dedicated interns, Grace and Hans.
The company’s initial mission was clear: to empower creators with AI technology. Our core task was to explore and test emerging AI technologies faster than anyone else, discovering how they could enhance artists’ creative processes. It was truly a time of “building a runway while taking off.”
During this period, we primarily experimented with Stable Diffusion Web UI, which allowed us to directly experience and evaluate the rapidly evolving field of image-generation AI. We went beyond simple usage — leveraging Kohya_ss to fine-tune models and explore the potential of custom AI models tailored for our service. It was a period defined by passion, curiosity, and endless experimentation.
Our first major challenge came with the development of an investment demo. We aimed to implement the AI technologies we had explored and bring our vision to life for potential investors. For this critical mission, not only our small dev team — myself, Grace, and Hans — but also Thomas and Randy joined forces, working day and night to complete the demo.
After weeks of effort, we finally showcased it to an investment manager from XX Company. However, on the day of the presentation, as if possessed by a “demo ghost,” unexpected bugs and issues appeared, leading to a complete failure.
The disappointment was immense — but that failure became a powerful turning point. It taught us the importance of thorough preparation and contingency planning, and the experience became the foundation for our later focus on stability, reliability, and problem-solving.
Evolving Our Tech Stack: From Fine-Tuning to Global Expansion and AWS
With successful investment secured, our company entered a growth phase — and so did the Tech Team. One key milestone was a major transition in our technology stack.
We moved from the exploratory Stable Diffusion Web UI to ComfyUI, a more flexible and production-oriented framework — preparing for a product environment.
At the same time, we dedicated ourselves to AI model training and fine-tuning, focusing on maximizing output quality through relentless iteration. Over time, we trained hundreds of models, each one a product of our determination to meet the diverse needs of artists. These experiments became the technical foundation of our product today.
To further strengthen our R&D capabilities, we applied for Deep-Tech TIPS funding, though we received a “pending” decision. But we didn’t stop there.
Around that time, Thomas attended an AWS event and discovered the AWS Generative AI Accelerator Program. Recognizing it as a chance to reach the global stage, we applied, went through a rigorous selection process, and ultimately joined one of only 80 teams worldwide accepted into this prestigious program.

This experience became a major turning point not only for the Tech Team but for the entire company. We expanded our vision to the global market — visiting San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles — and directly connecting with major international companies.
Through these experiences, we were able to showcase our technology globally, expand our network, and build the foundation for future partnerships.

The Present REALDRAW Tech Team: Resilience and Innovation
After countless iterations and challenges, we have now established a robust AI pipeline optimized for our creators and their work — the result of continuous refinement and learning.
At the core of our culture lies active code review and collaboration. Developers and colleagues from other disciplines gather to study, discuss, and solve problems together. We believe in growth through “contagious learning” rather than one-way teaching. Each member takes ownership — learning proactively, sharing knowledge, and spreading good practices — which strengthens the entire team.
Our tech blog is more than a space for technical sharing; it’s a window into our culture and craftsmanship. We hope our values — transparency, peer learning, and collective growth — resonate with future teammates who want to grow with us.
From our early interns Yuni and Hans, to our steadfast teammate Grace, and our current developer Borris, every single one of them has played a crucial role in our journey.
Now, we’re taking confident steps beyond Korea. Through the AWS Generative AI Accelerator program, we’ve begun to share our technology with the world — and we’ll keep pushing forward to create AI that inspires artists everywhere.
If this journey excites you, and you want to grow with us, join the REALDRAW Tech Team.
